Victoria R. Coppett Sowder joined Beta-Rubicon as Administrative Manager in October 2000. She came to Beta-Rubicon after a 25-year career with the University of Arkansas' College of Engineering, where she had most recently been the Operations Manager for the GENESIS Technology Incubator (for start-up technology-oriented companies), serving as the liaison between the GENESIS director and GENESIS' tenant companies. Prior to her GENESIS appointment, she was Management Project Analyst at the U of A's Chemical Hazards Research Center, where she was the contact point between the Center and research sponsors and assisted in design and execution of various lab capabilities and with lab experiments. She had previously been in administration at the U of A's Industrial Engineering Department and Chemical Engineering Department. Ms. Sowder received her B.A. in English from the University of Arkansas and is a member of Phi Beta Kappa, Phi Kappa Phi, the Golden Key National Honor Society, the Fayetteville Lions Club (past board member), and the Fayetteville Chamber of Commerce where she is a member of the Economic Development Committee. Ms. Sowder is also a graduate of the Fayetteville Chamber of Commerce's Leadership Fayetteville Class XII (1998-1999).
